Youth Group

The Cheyenne, WY Branch of the NAACP Youth Council is comprised of young people ages 6 to 21. Youth Council members engage their community through events that bring awareness to issues that affect young people of color. Events such as:

• Juneteenth

• MLK March/ MLK Speeches

• Fundraisers

• Giving back to our community.

In addition to creating change in their community – members have fun! As a youth branch, we are always willing to try new things and tackle any need in our community.

 

Lastly, council members gain a sense of community as they learn about civil rights. They are able to gain leadership experience, enhance their public speaking skills, and understand the value of community service. This group has a wealth of resources from community leaders who want to ensure that members are successful. New memberships and returning memberships are always welcome!
